Hi guys. Don’t know if this is the right place to ask this, but maybe someone had a similar problem and knows how I can fix this. I’ve just bought a brand new HP DeskJet 2710 printer. I’ve set everything up, got the app on my phone and on my PC. Scanner works fine as I’ve just scanned something and everything else seems ok. The problem starts when I try to print something (a PDF document) onto A4 plain paper. The printer sucks half of the page in and then I get an error message “Size mismatch. Can’t print 13x18cm”. After that, it just “spits” the paper out, untouched. I’ve tried everything from taking the A4 pages out, putting them back in, restarting both my PC and the printer. I’ve googled and followed loads of tutorials, nothing works. The printer is set to print on normal A4 plain pages, so I’m at a loss as to what to do next. Did anybody encounter anything similar? Please let me know. Thank you!

Hi @fiskamelo,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It seems like there might be a setting or configuration causing the size mismatch error. Here are a few steps you can try.
- Check Print Settings: Make sure that both your printer settings and the print settings on your computer are configured to use A4 paper. Verify the paper size in the printer settings and the print dialog box.
- Paper Guides: Ensure that the paper guides in the printer tray are adjusted correctly to fit the A4 paper size. Sometimes, if the guides are set for a smaller paper size, it can cause this type of error.
- Driver Update: Check if there are any driver updates available for your printer. Sometimes, outdated drivers can cause compatibility issues. Visit the HP website and download the latest drivers for your printer model.
- Print from Another Application: Try printing from a different application or program to see if the issue persists. This can help determine whether the problem is specific to the PDF document or a system-wide configuration.
- Reset Printer Defaults: In the printer settings, reset the printer to its default settings. This can often resolve unexpected configuration issues.
Remember, these are general suggestions, and it's always a good idea to refer to your printer's manual
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
