Hey just recently my printer just stopped booting past the white HP boot screen. I’ve seen a few forum posts about the same issue and that the HP support would send them instructions on how to reset the printer. Can someone help?

Hi @Yeezy15,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP ENVY Photo 7158 All-In-One Printer is stuck on the loading screen, there are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue.
- Power cycle the printer: Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source. Wait for about 30 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on. This can help reset the printer and resolve any temporary issues.
- Check the printer connections: Ensure that all cables connecting the printer to the computer or network are securely plugged in. If you're using a USB connection, try using a different USB port on your computer. If you're using a network connection, ensure that the printer is connected to the network properly.
- Update the printer firmware: Visit the HP support website and search for your printer model. Look for firmware updates for your printer and follow the instructions provided to update the firmware. Sometimes, outdated firmware can cause issues with the printer's performance.
- Perform a hard reset: This step should only be performed if the previous steps didn't resolve the issue. On the printer control panel, locate the power button and unplug the power cord from the back of the printer. While keeping the power button pressed, plug the power cord back in. Continue holding the power button for 15 seconds, then release it. The printer should restart.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
