Hi @MG1481

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP OfficeJet Pro 9025 is not printing PDF documents, there could be several potential causes ranging from software issues to printer settings. Let's go through some troubleshooting steps to get it working again.

Step 1: Check Printer Connection

Before diving into software issues, make sure the printer is properly connected:

  1. Check the Connection:
    • Ensure your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network (if wireless) or properly connected via USB (if wired).
    • Try printing other documents (e.g., Word, Text files) to confirm that the issue is isolated to PDF files.

Step 2: Update Printer Driver and Software

Outdated drivers or software can cause printing issues, including not being able to print PDFs. Make sure everything is up to date.

Update Printer Driver:

  • Go to the HP support page for your HP OfficeJet Pro 9025.
  • Download the latest printer driver compatible with your version of macOS or Windows.
  • Install the updated driver and restart your computer.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Check if there is any available firmware update for your printer.
  • You can either check through the HP Smart app or access the printer’s web interface by typing the printer’s IP address in a browser (refer to the earlier steps on how to find the IP address and access the Embedded Web Server).

Step 3: Try Printing from a Different PDF Reader

If you're trying to print from Adobe Acrobat Reader or Preview, the issue could be with the specific PDF reader you're using.

Adobe Acrobat Reader:

  • Open the PDF in Adobe Acrobat Reader (if you don't have it, you can download it from the Adobe website).
  • Try printing from there and see if it works.
  • In Adobe Reader, go to File > Print and check the settings.

macOS Preview:

  • If you're on macOS, try printing from Preview instead of Adobe Acrobat Reader.
  • Open the PDF in Preview, go to File > Print, and check if it prints correctly.

Other PDF Reader:

  • If Adobe or Preview still doesn't work, try installing another PDF reader, like Foxit PDF Reader, and attempt printing from there.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
