I reviewed your post and I understand that some of the cell lines in excel are not printing.
Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
Does this happen only in Excel?
Are you facing any other issues with printing?
Meanwhile, I recommend you root uninstall the printer and then reinstall it and check whether the issue is resolved.
Here is how it is done.
1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
2.) Select your HP Printer
3.) Select Uninstall
4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose 'Delete' or 'Remove Device'
6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.
7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)
8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab
9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
10.) Select Ok
11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
12.) Close Devices and Printers
13.) Restart the PC
14.) Download and install the printer software from the below link.
Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

Thank you for your response Fossette but I have seen a number of mentions about this issue on line. I tried to seek help from HP site on this new Laser Jet Pro M118 printer with a lot of frustation without getting any help on the HP site! This was a terrible experience and I therefore decided to return the printer. In any case, I followed your link that took me to the same lacation from where I had downlaoded the drivers and the version on the site is the same as that which I had download! It would therefore appear that you in HP are merely continuing to get your customers in a perpetual twist withouit bothering to check whether you have an issue with your interfacing your PCL drivers! If you really care to look into, you might find that this problem is also present on your other printers like Office Jet xxxx. I am glad that I returned the HP printer.

Thank you for the update.
I am sorry to hear that you returned the printer.
There might be many things that may cause this issue, like software, permissions, and/or the driver. We need to investigate the issue completely to understand the cause.
Take Care.

Welcome to the HP support community.
I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).
If you are unfamiliar with how the Community's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.
Thank you for visiting the HP Support Community.
