Hi @YogeshShukla,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I see that you have an issue using ink cartridges on your printer.
Please refer to the below steps to fix the issue.
- Click on the “start” button on your computer, and then click “Devices and Printers”
- Find your HP printer and double-click it to open the “Settings” page.
- Click the text for “Estimated Ink Levels” under the heading of “Shopping Resources”. This will open the HP Toolbox window.
- Click the tab for “Cartridge Protection”
- Click the radio button next to “Disable HP Cartridge Protection”.
- Click the “Save Setting” button to save your new setting. Then, close the window.
- You might need to remove and re-install the cartridge for it to be recognised properly.
Please click “Accepted Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution. Click the “Kudos/Thumbs Up" on the bottom right to say “Thanks” for helping!
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a great day ahead!

I have seen this reply to other questions but sorry this doesn't work.
First of all Cartridge protection was already disabled when i opened the settings so it should have not given this error. I still tried multiple times changing settings and reinstalling cartridges but same error.

Turning off cartridge protection only affects whether future cartridges installed in the printer will be protected. Any cartridges that were "protected" in another printer will be unusable. I do not know of any way to disable "protection" for cartridges that are already marked. Typically cartridges that exhibit cartridge protection errors would be third party/refilled cartridges. I would suggest you contact your supplier for replacements.

I dont think that is correct error or unless hp is running a huge scam. I bought this printer in hp sealed pack pacakaging and used for 1 year how suddenly this became locked at some other printer or detached from current printer? I fail to understand this. HP is asking to pay then they can look at the issue.

So to clarify, these are the same cartridges that came with the printer? You have never changed them?

Yes they are original I got in the box. I never changed, nether even removed after first installation. It has been working fine for 1 year. As soon as warranty is over it stopped. Now hp needs money to even look at the case.
