I just bought a new HP tango printer. When printing photos there are lines across the entire page about every half inch. I have clean the printhead without success in improving quality. Is there a way to solve this problem or should I just return the printer. Appreciate any help. My last HP ink jet just died so I really need a new printer that has quality

Hi @Danzo
Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you. Let us try these steps to resolve this issue:
Have you tried printing a PDF document and check if the issue persists?
Update the printer firmware
Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.
Also, check for any software updates on the iOS device.
Check the estimated ink levels
Low ink levels can affect print quality. Check the estimated ink levels in HP Smart. Replace any low or empty ink cartridges.
Clean the ink cartridges
-
Open HP Smart, and then select HP Tango or Tango X, if it is not already selected.
-
Tap Printer Settings.
-
Under Tools, tap Print Quality Tools.
-
Next to Clean Printhead, tap Clean.
-
If the print quality is unacceptable, tap Level 2 Cleaning in the app to perform the next level of cleaning.
-
NOTE:
If the printhead is badly clogged, it might require another cleaning cycle. If so, wait 30 minutes before you perform both levels of cleaning again.
Print a Print Quality Diagnostic report
-
Open HP Smart, and then select HP Tango or Tango X, if it is not already selected.
-
Tap Printer Settings.
-
Under Tools, tap Printer Reports.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
