Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a HP x476DW, and I keep having problems with it (which I will post in a new post), but what's the difference between the 476 and the 477?  Do they use the same drivers and ink cartridges?

The X476 were the first models that used new Pagewide technology they had a lot of flaws (IMHO), later model X477 (that replaced X476 ) doesn't have so many flaws.

 

There are some enhancements in hardware in X477 and they use different ink cartridges.

So the 477 is just a slight improvement on the 476?  Are the drivers the same?  I have over 20 PCs that have my 476 installed, and it would be a pain in the backside if I had to go to unlock each machine, and install new print drivers!

 

Do you know of any machines that take the 476 Cartridge?

The X477 is not a slight upgrade, it's a big upgrade compared to X476.

There are no new printers on the market that can use X476 cartridges, and regarding drivers, wish I could help more but I really am not sure.

Nope, they are the same except X576 is faster that X476.
