There is nothing obstructing the ink cartridges, they are locked in properly. I cannot find any jams anywhere. The paper light is lit and blinking, the "i" light is lit and blinking, there's an E3 error code and the third red light under the error code window is blinking. I am unable to run a test print. What can I do to fix this?

Hi @Arrylian,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The error code E3 on your HP DeskJet Plus 4152 All-In-One Printer typically indicates a paper jam or a paper feed issue. Even if you can't see any visible paper jams, there might be a small piece of paper stuck somewhere inside the printer or a sensor that is being triggered incorrectly. Here are some steps you can follow to try and resolve the issue.
Check for Paper Jams:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Carefully open all access doors and trays to inspect for any small pieces of paper that might be obstructing the paper path.
- Gently remove any paper fragments or foreign objects that you find.
Reset the Printer:
- After checking for jams, plug the printer back into the power source and turn it on.
- Wait for the printer to initialize and see if the error message still appears.
Check the Paper Tray:
- Make sure that the paper in the tray is aligned correctly and not overfilled. Adjust the paper guides if necessary.
Check for Sensor Issues:
- Sometimes, sensors can be falsely triggered. Check for any sensors in the paper path and make sure they are not obstructed or dirty.
Restart the Printer:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Leave it unplugged for a few minutes to allow it to reset.
- Plug it back in and turn it on to see if the error persists.
Update Firmware/Software:
- Ensure that your printer's firmware and software drivers are up to date. Sometimes, updating the printer's software can resolve issues.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
