Hi @ECI1,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your HP DeskJet Plus 4155 is experiencing multiple issues, including problems with recognizing paper, connecting to Wi-Fi, and displaying strange patterns on the control panel. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot these problems.

  • Check Paper Tray: Make sure there is enough paper loaded in the paper tray and that it is inserted correctly. Sometimes, improper paper loading can cause the printer to not recognize paper.
  • Reset Wi-Fi Connection: Since you mentioned connectivity issues after installing fiber optic internet, try resetting the Wi-Fi connection on your printer. You can usually do this by navigating to the printer's settings menu and selecting the option to reconnect to Wi-Fi.
  • Verify Wi-Fi Settings: Double-check that the printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network and that the network settings are configured properly. Ensure that the Wi-Fi signal is strong and stable in the printer's location.
  • Update Printer Firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer. Updating the firmware can sometimes resolve connectivity issues and improve overall performance.
  • Check Ink Cartridges: Ensure that the ink cartridges are installed correctly and that they are genuine HP cartridges. Improperly installed or counterfeit cartridges can cause errors and issues with printing.
  • Inspect Control Panel Display: Take note of any error codes or messages displayed on the control panel. These can provide clues about what might be wrong with the printer.
  • Perform a Power Cycle: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for a few minutes. Then, plug it back in and turn it on again. Sometimes, a simple power cycle can resolve minor issues.

By following these steps, you should be able to diagnose and resolve the issues with your HP DeskJet Plus 4155 printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
