Can someone please help?
My HP5540 keeps telling me the tray is open when it is not. I have managed to print off the Network Configuration pages direct from the printer, so there is clearly no paper jam and the tray is clearly closed as it is printing.
Can someone please direct me to a way to get my printer to understand that the tray is actually closed so I can print things??

Did you get this sorted? I’ve started having the same issue. It’s when I’m trying to print from the HP smart app. The tray is closed and paper loaded as I am able to print without using the app.
ive been on the phone to customer care this afternoon and tried various things and nothing has helped.

I think it’s the app on my phone (iPhone) I can print from a pc using the app on windows and the printer status shows as ready. Oh my phone it shows as tray open. HP have said there’s no problem with their app but that’s all it can be as there’s nothing wrong with the printer.
So frustrating!
