Hi @Ggjoy1,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding error code on your printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
If your HP ENVY 6055e printer is showing flashing E and O errors, this usually indicates a printer issue such as a paper jam, low paper, or a cartridge problem. Since you've already checked for paper jams and cartridges, try the following steps to resolve the error:
Hard Reset the Printer
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from power for at least 60 seconds.
- Remove all paper from the tray and reload it properly.
- Reconnect the power cable and turn the printer back on.
Check for Hidden Paper Jams
- Even if you don't see a jam, open all access panels (including the back) and look carefully inside.
- Use a flashlight to check deep inside for small scraps of paper.
- If you see any stuck paper, gently remove it using both hands to avoid tearing it.
Reseat the Ink Cartridges
- Open the printer's ink access door.
- Remove the cartridges and wipe the contacts with a lint-free cloth.
- Reinstall the cartridges firmly.
- Close the door and wait to see if the error clears.
Run a Printer Self-Test
- Press and hold the Wi-Fi & Cancel (X) buttons together for 5 seconds.
- The printer should print a test page. If it prints successfully, the issue might be software-related.

Reset the Printer to Factory Settings
If the issue persists:
- Press and hold the Wi-Fi button & Power button for about 10 seconds.
- This will restore factory settings and may clear any stuck errors.
Check HP Smart App for More Details
- Open the HP Smart App on your phone or computer.
- Check if any specific error messages appear that might give more details.
If the issue still persists, let me know what error appears in the HP Smart App, and I’ll help troubleshoot further! 😊
I'm glad I could help! 😊 If this resolved your issue, please mark it as "Accepted Solution" and click "Yes" on "Was this reply helpful?"—your feedback not only keeps us going but also helps others find the solution faster! 👍✨
Take care and have an amazing day ahead! 🚀
