The ink lights flash in sequentially continuously on my . I installed a new print head. And reinstalled in a second time. I've tried all the solutions, i.e., turn off, unplug, wait 670 seconds. The message on the computer says the printer doesn't recognize the print head. I've cleaned the tape which tells the head where it is. The print head centers when I open the cover. That's no t the issue. I've scoured the net for solutions. As I said, I installed a new print head. When  I got the flashing ink lights with the message the printer says there is no print head, then I reinstalled is a second time. Can anyone offer a new suggestion?

Thanks,

mike

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand that cartridge lights are blinking, I am glad to assist you.

A printer reset can recalibrate the cartridges.

  1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.

  2. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

  3. Wait at least 15 seconds.

  4. Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.

  5. Reconnect the power cord to the printer.

  6. Turn the printer on.

Update the printer firmware to install the latest updates

Thanks for your suggestion. However, I think I mentioned that I did this in my statement. As a matter of fact, I di this three times. The lights continued to flash sequentially and the program on my computer screen said that it does not recognize the print  head even though it is new  and I reinstalled it a second time correctly both times. Please...do you have any other suggestions that might work?

Thanks,

mike

Sandytech -

I downloaded the latest firmware from May 2021. When trying to install it, the message comes up saying that the installation failed and to turn off the printer and turn it back on. I tried the install twice. It failed both times. Should I just forget about this printer? But I can't afford to buy another wide-format printer for over $400. That's why I'm trying to do whatever I can to keep it running.

Thanks for your help.
