HP 7520 Two sided printing.

Can you please tell me if there is an updated driver or software which will keep the stated margins when printing on two sides of the paper?

I require the print to be the size set in my Word 2016 document. If I print using manual duplexing the scaling is correct but when using auto duplexing the print shrinks.

I require a printed table to be 15.2 cm * 21.2 cm, if I Use auto duplexing it ends up 14 cm * 19.6 cm with the resultant increase in the margins. My printed table is approximately only 92% in size .

Is there a newer wireless “All in one printer” which does not shrink prints in this manner or do I have to stick with manual duplexing or scale my document to end up with the correct size print?

Hey there! @Albyefield_1, Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A great place where you can find solutions for your issues with help from the community!

I understand you have issues printing two-sided from your printer.

Don't worry I'd like to help you out.

Did you make any changes to your printer?

What application are you using to print duplex printing?

Please try the steps recommended below.

The 'automatic discovery' feature used by some (Windows) drivers on installation (or update) doesn't always work; ensure that the driver knows that a duplex unit is present on the printer (assuming that one is present):

For the printer instance in question, bring up the Printer properties dialogue.
Select the Device Settings tab.
Ensure that the duplex unit is set to Installing rather than Not installed.
You'll probably need to be logged in with administrator credentials in order to change the device settings.

To duplex scan from the software on the PC:
* Open the HP Printer Assistant software for the Photosmart 7520
* Select Scan a Document or Photo
* Select Document to PDF (or Email as PDF)
* On the right side of the screen is a list of drop down menus and one of them is the source of the scan
* Select to scan from the Automatic Document Feeder
* After selecting this option, a checkbox will appear below this option to turn on Duplex scanning
* Set the other options as desired and start the scan

Hope to hear from your soon!

Have a great day! 🙂

Application to print is MS Word 2016 (Office 365) as stated in question.

Duplex is installed in properties.

Duplex printing works BUT print is at a reduced scale.

Duplex scanning is not required

Thanks for the reply,

I appreciate your time and effort.

However, I will need a few details to provide an accurate solution,

When did this issue start?

Did you do any hardware or software changes?

Meanwhile;

Install HP Support Assistant to keep the drivers updated.

Click here to download HP Support Assistant.

Reply with the result of the above-mentioned steps, for further assistance.

Thank you for your reply.

I only noticed the problem recently, it is the first time that I have attempted printing a scaled document. Searches have led e to believe that this is a common problem with many printers.

I have downloaded and installed the HP support assistant which found my software & drivers up to date. This also led me to install HP Print doctor which once again found no problem with my printer this refers

Can you tell me if this has been rectified in later models? If not I shall have to use manual duplexing for this particular task.
