8600
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I enabled firmware updated on my HP8600 and since then I can't use my non-HP ink cartridge. Searching the forums, I understand HP block this option. I understand there is an option to upgrade the firmware but cant find firmware for HP8600 (only 8610 and above)

I can't use my printer.

How can I upgrade the firmware to avoid this blocking? Alternatively how can I downgrade it.

I could not find the accurate firmware anywhere. The one in HP page for 8600 is already the one install which cause the problem.

Please urgently help

Thanks

Thank you for your prompt reply.

Your input regarding that the security check is not applied to 8600 gave me a new idea. I just plugged out each of the cartridges and enter one by one. Seems that the yellow cartridge did the problem and I’ll replace only this instead of buying a new set of original cartridge.

Much appreciated. You saved me a lot of money and hours of extra research.
