HP9020e

My HP9020e printer started to display error  83C0000B  late on Monday 8 May after printing several pages.  It is connected by wifi.  It now does not function at all. I have powered it off and on as suggested on the HP community page I found when googling the error without any success.

I bought it on 9 Sep 2022. Your site tells me its factory warranty commenced 14 Dec 2021 and finished 13 Mar 2023. This is unreasonable.  I set it up on 11 Sep 2022 including downloading HP Smart app.  At no point was I told to register it as well.  I am now unable to register it or add it to my profile.

I have recorded that I am impacted,  I also clicked to subscribe to the community thread about this error but have no feedback whether this has been  successful.  I see about 30  others also impacted with this error on 8 May 2023 but there is no response visible from HP support. This is very concerning.   Please advise what can be done to fix my printer.

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand that you want to update the warranty, I am glad to assist you.

You might have to raise a warranty dispute to update the warranty.

Here is the link:- Click here

You might have to perform a semi-full reset on the printer to fix the issue.

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.

I am sending you a private message with the steps to reset the printer. Please check the mailbox icon at the top-right corner of this screen.

Keep me posted.

If this helps, please mark the public post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.

Cheers.

Hi Sandytechy20

I am unable to follow the instructions you sent in the private message.

I don't see any of the buttons shown in the instructions.  I have tried pressing the screen in the area shown but there is no response.

It appears my printer like all the others impacted by this firmware update is not able to be fixed.

I have not received any response to my warranty dispute.

What options are you able to offer me for replacement or refund?

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

If you are unfamiliar with how the Community's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Community.

It is my understanding that HP teams are working diligently to address the blue screen error affecting a number HP OfficeJet Pro 9020e series printers. A reset (semi or full) will not resolve this issue.

HP is recommending customers experiencing the error contact the customer support team for assistance at https://support.hp.com.  HP is committed to providing its customers with the highest quality printing experience.

I just escalated your case to a moderator and you should be assisted by the HP Support team.

I replied to a private message from @sandytechy20 on 23 May 2023 with contact details and my printer serial number. As yet I have not been contacted in any way to progress replacement of my printer in Australia.

Do you suggest I need to contact. https://support.hp.com/   as well?

@Liz_35 - since you are already dealing with an HP Support agent you should not need to contact suppport.hp.com as well.

I was actually replying to @RHS93, who should contact. https://support.hp.com/.
