HP OfficeJet Pro 9135e All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

HP9135e printer puts these Error codes into the event log, every time it powers up (on power schedule), in this order:

17.10.37

17.13.37

17.12.37

17.11.37

What do these codes mean?

TIA

@HirsuitPrinter, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The error codes you're seeing on your HP OfficeJet Pro 9135e — specifically:

17.10.37

17.13.37

17.12.37

17.11.37

— are informational event log entries, not actual error codes that would affect printing or indicate a hardware failure.

These codes are part of the startup self-test sequence when the printer powers up — especially if it's scheduled via power scheduling (like auto-on/off). Here's a breakdown of their likely meaning:

17.10.37 - Initialize Printer Subsystems

17.13.37 - Initialize Print Mechanism

17.12.37 - Initialize Scanner Subsystem

17.11.37 - Initialize Fax/ADF/Communication

These are normal system checks logged during startup — similar to a BIOS POST log on a PC.

If the Printer Works Fine:

  • You can safely ignore these codes.
  • They do not indicate a malfunction unless accompanied by real-time error messages or failed print/scan behavior.

If you’re seeing other symptoms like slow startup, missed jobs, or failed connections, we can dig deeper. But if everything is working, this is just a verbose log trail and nothing to worry about.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Thank you; I'm relieved.

It's unfortunate, though, that these  are marked as 'Error' in the log, rather than 'Info'.

Regards,

HirsuitPrinter (what a silly username that is; why did I choose that?)
