Hi @MIDWEST3,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The "Supply System Problem" error on your HP OfficeJet Pro 9025e typically indicates an issue with the ink cartridge or its recognition by the printer. Since replacing the yellow cartridge did not resolve the issue, follow these steps to troubleshoot.
Inspect the Cartridge and Printer Contacts
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Open the printer to access the cartridges and remove the yellow cartridge.
- Inspect the cartridge's copper contacts for dirt, damage, or ink residue. Clean gently with a lint-free cloth dampened with distilled water.
- Check the corresponding contacts inside the printer for any dirt or damage. Clean these as well.
Reinstall the Cartridge
- Reinsert the yellow cartridge firmly into its slot until it clicks into place.
- Close the printer cover, plug the printer back in, and power it on.
Verify Cartridge Authenticity
- Ensure you are using a genuine HP cartridge. Non-HP or refilled cartridges may cause recognition errors.
- Check the cartridge packaging for authenticity verification (e.g., QR code or hologram).
Reset the Printer
- With the printer powered on, unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for at least 60 seconds.
- Plug it back in and turn it on.
Check for Firmware Updates
- Ensure your printer's firmware is up to date:
- Open the HP Smart app or go to the printer's Settings menu.
- Look for an option to update the firmware.
- Install any available updates and restart the printer.
Test with Another Cartridge
- If the issue persists, try a different genuine yellow cartridge, if available. The current cartridge may be defective.
Reset the Printer to Factory Settings
- As a last resort, reset the printer to its factory settings:
- Navigate to Settings > Printer Maintenance > Restore Factory Settings.
- Reconfigure the printer after the reset.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
