Hi, I recently received a printer and went to set it up yesterday. I followed the instruction manual and even watched a YouTube video on it. I did everything in the correct order and i think i did it all right. I couldn’t get it to print so i left it in anger and decided to wait until i had the patience to deal with this. Today i’ve gone to set it up again and it’s doing exactly the same thing. The top left button is flashing orange at me and the bottom one that’s a circle with a pattern in. Then the ink is showing up as empty but its got the two cartridges out of the box in it. (The black ink one keeps popping out of place???). And there’s an orange light flashing at me in the bottom right of the screen bit. The screen has a E/3 that keeps flashing. I ignored all this and connected the USB to my computer and went to print, nothing happened but my printer is insisting that it printed. Is this a problem i can fix or is it just a faulty printer?

Hi! @OnlyWantToPrint, Welcome to HP forums.
I understand the Resume light keeps blinking on the printer.
Don't worry I'll try to help you out.
Did you make any changes to your printer?
Have you tried checking with a different ink cartridge?
Replace low, empty or faulty ink cartridges on the printer.
Try the steps recommended below.
Make sure the ink cartridges are correctly installed
Improper placement or installation of the ink cartridges might cause the printer to indicate a carriage jam error. Remove and reinstall the ink cartridges, and then try to print again.
-
Open the ink cartridge access door.
The carriage moves to the center of the printer.

-
Wait until the carriage is idle and silent before you continue.
-
Gently press down on one ink cartridge to release it, and then pull the ink cartridge out of its slot.
CAUTION:
Do not touch the copper-colored contacts or the ink nozzles. Touching these parts can result in clogs, ink failure, and bad electrical connections.

Hold the ink cartridge by its sides with the contacts toward the printer, reinsert the ink cartridge into its slot, and then gently push the ink cartridge until it snaps into place.
NOTE:
Install the color ink cartridge on the left and the black ink cartridge on the right.

Perform a power reset.
Press the Power () button to turn on the product.
Disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.
Unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet, and then wait 30 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.
Press the Power () button to turn on the product.
Clear any paper jam on your printer.
Remove any loose sheets of paper from the input tray and the output tray.
CAUTION:
Do not remove jammed paper at this stage. Trying to clear jammed paper from the front of the product can damage the print mechanism.

If the issue still persists after trying out the steps, it is a hardware issue with the printer.
