My printer cuts off the headers and footers on pdf files I print. Any suggestions on how to resolve this issue? Thanks!

Hi @biekgiek
Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.
That’s a classic frustration—when your printer decides headers and footers aren’t worth the ink.
Let’s walk through a few steps to help your HP OfficeJet 4652 print full PDF pages without trimming the top or bottom.
🛠️ Fixes for Cut-Off Headers and Footers on PDF Prints
1. Check Page Scaling in Print Dialog
- When printing the PDF, click File > Print.
- Look for Page Sizing & Handling or Scale options.
- Select “Fit to Printable Area” or “Shrink oversized pages”.
- Avoid “Actual Size” if your document margins are too tight.
2. Adjust Margins in the Source Document
- If you created the PDF yourself, open it in the original app (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Increase the top and bottom margins to give the printer more breathing room.
- Re-export the PDF and try printing again.
3. Use a Different PDF Viewer
- Try printing from Adobe Acrobat Reader instead of your browser or default app.
- Acrobat offers better control over scaling and margin settings.
4. Update Printer Driver
- Visit the HP OfficeJet 4652 support page and install the latest full driver package.
- Outdated drivers can misinterpret page boundaries.
5. Set Paper Size and Print Quality
- Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
- Right-click your printer → Printing Preferences.
- Confirm Paper Size is set to Letter (8.5 x 11).
- Set Print Quality to “Normal” or “Best”—some users report “Draft” mode causes clipping.
Let me know which step helps—or if none do, I’ll help you dig deeper. You’re doing everything right by asking, and we’ll get those invoices looking sharp from top to bottom! 🧾🖨️
If my response helped, please mark it as an Accepted Solution! ✅ It helps others and spreads support. 💙 Also, tapping "Yes" on "Was this reply helpful?" makes a big difference! Thanks! 😊
Take care, and have an amazing day!
Regards,
