HP LaserJet Pro MFP M227fdw

Hello, I had my m227fdw printer open to replace the transfer roller and noticed a loose spriing located on the bottom back right. I've included photos showing where it was found and of the spring itself. I was hoping someone might be able to identify where exactly this came from. A possible clue, when the loaded paper gets near empty it sometimes will give a false error for a paper jam, which is cleared by loading more paper. So, possibly related to some sensor that results in that error. Thanks for your time and help!
