(1) Can my wife's PC be connected to the HP 5514 Printer B111c by USB while my PC
connects to the printer over the same wireless network used by my
onboard wired ethernet NIC? The wired and wireless devices are on the same
192.168.1.1 router. They have IP addresses such as 192.168.1.10, 192.168.1.11, etc.
(2) Can CAT5 wired ethernet NIC card PC's connect to the HP 5514 Printer
in wireless mode without having a wireless adapter installed? They are both
on the same in home network?
Thank you

Thank you for your reply, I'll be more than glad to help you.
I understand that you are not able to get the ePrint function running.
This issue could occur if the firmware is not updated.
Please follow the link to update the firmware: Firmware Update
Let me know if this works.
You have a good day ahead.

Welcome to HP Forums, this is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.
Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you.
I understand that you wanted to know if you can connect your wife's PC to HP Photosmart 5514 e-All-in-One Printer - B111c via USB cable with your computer connected to the printer with the network cable.
A Printer can be connected to the router with the ethernet cable and from the router, you can connect to multiple computers. You cannot connect the printer via USB cable and also on the wired or wireless network at the same time.
You cannot connect CAT5 wired ethernet NIC card PC's directly to the HP 5514 Printer. You need to connect them to the router and the router can connect to the Printer.
You may check Page No. 25 of the user guide of the printer from the link: http://hp.care/2hWiOOW

Hello Rainbow23,
I have the wireless working and was able to print from my PC. Unfortunately I have not been able to get the ePrint
function running. The printer obtains an IP address 192.168.1.213 which was setup as a static one. I tried setting
the DNS servers to 192.168.1.1 which is my router. I also tried setting the DNS to 8.8.8.8 by itself as well as setting
the primary to 8.8.8.8 and secondary to 8.8.4.4 as recommended in another post marked as [Solved]. I powered off
the Cable Modem, TP-Link TL-WDR3600 v1 router as well as the HP Photosmart 5514 e-All-in-One Printer - B111h.
I looked at the Model Number on the printer and found it was B11h instead of B111c which I posted.
The only firewall that would be involved seems to be on the router because the printer is trying to access the
internet outside of the local LAN. It produces a Server Connection Error message in spite of the solutions I have tried.
This is happening when it asks to apply automatic updates and I approved it.
Any other suggestions would be appreciated since I am stumped as this point.

I ran this Firmware Update and ePrint connected to the internet afterwards:
HP Photosmart 5510 e-All-in-One Printer series - B111h Firmware Update Ver EDL1CN1629AR 2016-09-16 (PS5510d_R1629A).exe
When I installed the Full Featured Driver on my Win7 SP1 64-bit system, it installed the driver and other software, but
it locked up because it was trying to setup ePrint and experienced the same problem as I was reporting here. This was
prior to installing the firmware update, so it makes sense. I had to close it down when it hung.
The HP Photosmart 5510d series shortcut gets a script error trying to start up. I have a couple other programs that
say something about automation failing, The uTorrrent install and when I start RMPrepUSB it gets an error. I discussed
the RMPrepUSB issue with the author and he thought my Windows Script Host was having a problem. I was not able to
learn how to reinstall it, but it wasn't causing a big problem so I left it alone.
Now that ePrint connected, is it OK to run the Full Function Driver install again to hopefully allow it to complete now that
the firmware update made internet connectivity work?
Thank you for your Firmware suggestion, it really helped. I would mark it Solved, but I am not sure I will see any replies
regarding the reinstall question when I did so I'll wait.
This is just a FYI.... When I accessed the HP Connected web site, it was not allowing me to see the contents of the
various tabs because the large graphic overlaid it. After a little thought, I added hpconnected.com to the uBlock Origin
Whitelist (Ad Blocker) and it fixed the problem. This may help some other users in the future.
Thank You Again
