How can I print paperwork through the printer when is shows that it is connected already?

If your 9025e is already connected to the modem / router then you just need to add the printer to Chrome OS as explained here

You could also use WiFi direct from the Chromebook to the printer but ignore the below if you get it working through the modem / router.

 

For WiFi-direct read page 40 of 9025 

 

● Up to five computers and mobile devices can use the same Wi-Fi Direct connection.
● Wi-Fi Direct can be used while the printer is also connected either to a computer using a USB cable or to
a network using a wireless connection.

 

do not reset the printer, just get a network report to find the wifi direct name and have your Chromebook connect to it.

Some explanation is here but do NOT disable the modem/router nor delete the printer from any PC.
