I am on a Mac and using HP Smart and have read that I need to switch the printer to the double-sided mode by Sliding the Duplex switch located near the ADF to the left.
Where is this switch? How do I slide it - gently or forcibly?
I lift the hood and I see a blue plastic image of paper sheets in motion but I can't see what to do with this or anything else?
Why is there not a video showing us what to do?
Why is there not a video showing me which switch I am even supposed to be sliding???
Please help. I have a large two-sided document that I need to be scanned into PDF format.

OK, no I can finally see the picture you've shared so it is more clear now 😉
You may perform a such manually by using HP Easy Scan:https://apps.apple.com/us/app/hp-easy-scan/id967004861?mt=12
From HP Easy Scan open the Presets menu and click on Edit Settings.
Set the Type as Document and the Source as the ADF (Automatic Document Feeder), then you may check the box below to manually scan both sides of the paper and press OK
Now follow the steps on screen, the application will prompt you to reload the other side and then complete the scan.

You should install and use HP Easy Scan app from the store, this cannot be done using the HP Smart app

Hi,
Your printer supports two-sided printing, it does not offer automatic two-sided scanning or copying, this is a feature offered for a 6970 printer only for this series.
You may perform a such manually by using HP Easy Scan:

From HP Easy Scan open the Presets menu and click on Edit Settings.
Set the Type as Document and the Source as the ADF (Automatic Document Feeder), then you may check the box below to manually scan both sides of the paper and press OK
Now follow the steps on screen, the application will prompt you to reload the other side and then complete the scan.

Hi,
You may find the preset menu at the top, as soon as you launch HP Easy Scan and select your scanner, the option right-below (the 2nd grayed-out menu at below sample):

Thanks for bearing with me Shomlil.
When I launch the Smart app on my mac I don't see what you see. My first view is the screenshot I attached to the last post....there's no preset option.
Can you help me further or is there someone else you know who can? This might be a Mac difference??
Cheers
