How do I change the font size on

If you are asking about the printer control panel, I do not think this function is available.  Printer control panels are tiny things and do not usually provide the function to make the control panel fonts "larger" (easier to see).

If you are asking about print jobs submitted to the printer from another source (computer, mobile device, website), the printer is not aware of what is being printed to the exent that it can "see" the size of fonts.  Printers print what they get, in other words.

If you are asking about "Copy" - the printer is not aware of the font size.  You can increase the size of the entire output using Resize to make the copy larger / smaller.

In general:

Font size and the overall print size is a function of the software you are using to submit the job to the printer.

If you are printing from the Web, for example, either increase the size of the screen (overall view of the page) or set the "Scale" in Page Setup.

The details depend on your Operating System / version (not provided) and which program / software you are using to view / edit and then submit the print job.

The most control is available using the print software and programs on your computer.

Less control, though usually sufficient for the purpose, is available using Mobile printing options.

Oddities, that is, "jobs that don't quite fit the norm", include increasing font size when using Outlook or when trying to increase font size in a file submitted from iOS / iPad.

If you wish to tell us what you are using (software / program) to submit the job and which Operating System you are running, we can likely offer more specific information.

i do have my font larger on my phone, I made them smaller on my iPhone but still the print job was too large.

I don't have an iPhone - I do have a relatively new iPad Pro.

Printing options are a bit restricted.

I know about half of what most people know about the subject of printing from iPad - Apple iPad is an auxiliary device is my world.  I can offer some limited observations on the subject...

Mobile Printing

Print from your Android, iOS, or Amazon Fire device with the HP Mobile printing app.

Assuming HP Smart works with your printer and your iPhone7, you might at least be able to print "fit to page".  Not sure that is going to help since the input (what you want to print) and the paper size may result in something "too large" or "too small" to be useful.

The only way I have truly found to more closely control font size when printing from the iPad (latest OS), is to shove the file into Pages (for example), manipulate the fonts inside the Pages Software and then print the modified file.

Previous discussion here: Apple iPhone / iPad printing is tiny

I never heard back from the customer whether she / he was willing to go through the work to fix the file - frequently when people don't hear what they want, they disappear.  Smiling.
