HP Envy 6220
macOS 10.15 Catalina

I've recently bought the HP Envy 6220 Wireless Colour Printer & Scanner, which supposedly includes 12 Months Instant Ink.

The promotional offer sounds simple enough but it is actually not straightforward at all once you've bought it. There is no information or instructions on the product leaflet about claiming the 12-months Instant Ink. Neither is it on the retailer's website. I'm a customer left wondering how did I fall for the offer that doesn't seem to exist?

I am now hesitant to unpack the printer in case it turns out to be some false advertisement. I'd like the option to return it.

The printer's box itself states that 3-months of Instant Ink Trial is included. From my understanding, you'll get the extended trial period when you subscribe to the 'Moderate 100-pages plan' by using the £32 in-box credit included with the purchase. The Moderate Printing Plan would normally cost £3.49 monthly, so the £32 credit would go towards the 9 months of extra Instant Ink. Trouble is, I can't find the £32 credit in-box anywhere.

Am I supposed to find some kind of enrolment card (£32) or a code I can use when I choose my printing plan?

Before I unpack the printer, can you please enlighten me on how I can actually claim the total of 12-months Instant Ink?

Hi @loa2410,

Could you send me an image of the promotional offer(box or the leaflet that came with the printer)?

Please send us a private message with your Instant Ink account details or you may also respond to the private message I've sent out and I'll help you out, accordingly. Check next to your profile name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

Let me know.
