The problem is the printer appears to be printing but a blank page comes out. I've checked the cartridge ( I only print in black). HP help suggests I clean heads several times, but I cannot find that choice in display. How do I clean the heads of my HP officejet 6968 printer?

Welcome to HP Support Forum. To clean the printhead, please start from the printer software
- Load letter, A4, or legal unused plain white paper into the input tray.
- Open the HP printer software. For more information, see Open the HP printer software (Windows).
- In the printer software, click Print, Scan, & Fax and then click Maintain Your Printer to access the
Printer Toolbox. - Click Clean Printheads on the Device Services tab. Follow the onscreen instructions
Note: Do not clean the printhead unnecessarily. Doing so wastes ink and shortens the life of the cartridges
Regards.

I had a similar problem and my printer had just gone out from warranty. Grrr. It showed my cartridge was damaged (which it wasn't) and implied that the printer head might be damaged too. I used HP's interactive support agent (basically computerized assistance). This brought me to a list of instructions which resolved the problem. Hope it helps.
