I opened and closed my cartridge door and was met with cartridge missing message followed by error code 016F9CE7. I switched it off severally but the pop up remains the same

I have an issue with my HP EliteBook G40 G3, it automatically boots into system diagnostics anytime i switch it on. I tried bios default settings load, didn't work, I tried running new windows didn't resolve and then i did system restore from the Bios settings, I installed new HP diagnostics software but all to no avail.
What do I do?
