Every time I print something, it first prints a 'cover page' . How do I turn this feature off.

Welcome to the HP Support Forums @SteveGallinetti

I understand your 3835 printer is printing a cover page prior to every print job, and you would like this option disabled. I believe the cover letter maybe a separator page. What program are you printing from and does this happen when you print from all programs or only from some? While I wait to hear back from you, please try the following:

1.Open Device and printers.
2.Right click on the printer icon and click on printer properties
3.Click on Advance Tab to find the Separator Page tab.
4. A small windows open with the location of the file. Delete the path you see, click OK to save  the changes.

If this resolves the issue, please click the Accept as Solution button below to flag your post as solved. If the issue persists, let me know and include the program details as requested.

Thanks.

I am also having this issue with a new printer I just installed. HP Envy 5540. The above solution is not a fix.

Found the problem myself. MS Word has a setting to print document information. I unchecked that and the problem went away.
