HPSmart app shows two connected printers. I have physically detached older printer and moved it offsite.  It still shows up in the app and interferes with use of newer HP Envy All in One 7255.

@Ebh5, Hello and welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your question. I'm here to help you get things back on track.

If your HP Smart app still shows the old HP All-in-One 2600 series printer, even after physically removing it, it can interfere with your experience using the newer HP Envy All-in-One 7255. Here's how to remove the old printer from the HP Smart app:

Steps to Remove a Printer from HP Smart App

On Windows or macOS:

  1. Open the HP Smart app.
  2. On the home screen, locate the printer you want to remove.
  3. Click the printer name or settings gear icon next to it.
  4. Scroll down and select "Remove Printer" or "Forget this printer".
  5. Confirm the removal.

On iOS or Android:

  1. Open the HP Smart app.
  2. Tap the printer icon at the top of the screen.
  3. Tap the three-dot menu (⋮) next to the printer you want to remove.
  4. Select "Remove Printer" or "Forget Printer".
  5. Confirm the action.

Note: Removing the printer from HP Smart does not uninstall its drivers from your system. If needed, you can uninstall the printer driver via Control Panel > Devices and Printers (Windows) or System Settings > Printers & Scanners (macOS).
