Hello, @SilverX95 – Hope you are well 🙂

Thank you for becoming an HP Forum member. It is a great location to get help from the community, get suggestions and find what has worked for others!

Going through your post, I understand that you are having trouble installing the wireless printer. Do not worry, I’m here to help 🙂

First off, you do not need to reset the printer. Uninstall the old printer and then install the new printer to get the wireless setup options.

  • Unplug the USB cable from the printer and computer, if present.
  • Go to Control panel – Programs and feature – Select all the HP Deskjet printer entries and uninstall them.
  • Restart your computer.

Now, you can follow the step 2 here to get the printer connected to your  network: http://hp.care/2qTqvsQ

Those steps should do the trick, let me know the outcome!

Good luck 🙂

i've allready tried that, the setting for the wireless that where for the old router wont go away.

i need to do it manually, the router that i have is a bit picky about wireless settings and my router dosint hve Wi-Fi Protected Setup.

i rather just factory reset the thing so i can enter the settings manually.

i can get to the Embedded Web Server but that about all i can do as seen in the photo and as you can see in the 2nd photo the printer see the router but it wont work like i said the router that i have is a bit picky about wireless settings on devices i need to set it manually.

as for the last photo there proof that it still holding the settings frome the old router.

Hello, @SilverX95

The last photo looks like the printer EWS page accessed via the printer "Wi-Fi Direct" network. Hence the 192.168.223.1 IP.

Also, to restore the network, you can try the steps below:

Press the Wireless button ( ) and the Cancel button ( ) from the printer control panel at the same time, and then hold them for three seconds. That will restore the network on your printer.

Let me know if that helps!

I had a similar problem with a deskjet printer 3720.

After searching for a long I finally discovered that the admin passwords of the printer only allow passwords up to 16 characters (never got any warning about it though). As my password was longer I was finally able to login when I entered the 16 first characters of it.

HTH!

HP Recommended

Thank you this really helped solve my problem. I changed the password to 18 characters even tho the max is 16, but the web interface just accepted it, no problem. Unknowingly to me, I had a 16 character trunacted version of the password which locked me out of my printer until I saw this message. Please HP fix this bug, if it only accepts 16 character it should prevent you from entering more than 16.
