How do i set deskjet 3525 to print in black and white only

I have looked at several threads here, but nothing seems to work.

How do I print in black and white or grayscale from my HP Deskjet 3525.

Also, how do i set the default to grayscale.

There are answers in this forum for Windows settings, but I'm on a Mac.

Hi there, is this happening in all programs you try and print from? Here's how I was able to print a PDF file to the Envy 4500 without using any colour ink:

File -> Print -> Properties -> Paper/Quality -> Advanced -> Document Options -> Print in Grayscale : Black Ink Only 

I have attached the image on selecting the options
