Hi @donandre,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The error code 0xB805864A on the HP Smart Tank Plus 651 typically indicates a firmware or hardware issue. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot and resolve the error.

Power Cycle the Printer:

  • Unplug the printer from the power outlet.
  • Wait for at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the printer back in and turn it on.

Check for Firmware Updates:

  • If you can access the printer settings, check if there’s an available firmware update via the HP Smart app or HP's support website. Updating firmware can sometimes resolve startup issues.

Reset the Printer to Factory Defaults:

  • If possible, try resetting the printer to factory settings. You can often do this via the control panel or HP Smart app, though the exact steps may vary by model.

Check Ink Levels and Cartridges:

  • Ensure the ink tanks have sufficient ink and are properly seated. Improperly seated cartridges can sometimes trigger errors during startup.

Perform a Hard Reset:

  • Unplug the printer, then press and hold the Power button for about 15 seconds while it’s unplugged.
  • Release the button, plug the printer back in, and turn it on.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
