The error code "62.80.13" on an HP OfficeJet Pro 6978 All-In-One Printer typically indicates a problem with the printer's printhead. Here are some steps you can follow to troubleshoot and potentially fix the issue.

 

Restart the Printer: Sometimes, a simple power cycle can resolve minor issues. Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for about 30 seconds, and then plug it back in. Turn the printer back on and check if the error persists.

Check for Obstructions: Make sure there are no paper jams or foreign objects inside the printer that might be blocking the movement of the printhead.

Update Firmware: Ensure that your printer has the latest firmware installed. You can usually update the firmware through the printer's control panel or by visiting the HP support website.

 

Clean the Printhead: If the error persists, you can try cleaning the printhead:

a. Access the printer's control panel and navigate to the "Setup" menu.

b. Select "Tools" and then choose "Clean Printhead."

c. Follow the on-screen instructions to initiate the printhead cleaning process.

d. After the cleaning is complete, print a test page to see if the issue has been resolved.
