Hello to everyone,
I have the HP Officeject Pro 8600 Plus, a cracking machine, for my little business.
When it had printed about 50,000 pages I purchased the HP Officeject Pro 8610 to sit along side
it, as I was worried just how long the 8600 would last. At 75,000 pages the print head quality is good
and the copies superb, always used genuine cartridges, but I thought I would get an 8720 to up
the speed, but it sits in reserve as I dont want to retire the 8600 until it has fulfilled its life.
I am now at 100,000 copies, and shockingly for me, it prints as good today as the day I got it,
the print head quality is on the status report good.
I use the 8600 as my primary and the 8610 for certificates, can anyone help me with a simple
question please?
What is the expected life expectancy of the 8600 in paper cycles, I am blown away by the
100,000 pages to date, especially as the print head appears to be spot on still and the
quality unaffected by age and use.
many thanks
clive

Answering to your question, I'd not be able to tell how many pages can a printer normally prints in a life. It all depends on the usage and the way you handle it.

At last I thought, someone asking the exact same question as I have. But the response was really weak, could you please answer the question with something better than "it varies". It reads like 'I don't know, or I'm too embaressed to say'. 100k pages is great.
Howabout saying what you would see high, medium and low usage figures as.

I have had my HP Officejet Pro since 2014, and it has printed 22,920 pages. I know this really doesn't help because I guess it varies with how you take care of your printer. I haven't taken any extraordinary measures with my printer, just use it every day and I do print a lot. Sadly it has just given up, but I have been extremely satisfied.
