How to Print photos on plain paper Photosmart 7520. Have set preferences to print on plain paper.

Have set preferences to print on plain paper tray.  Left photo paper tray empty. Result is that picture is not printed. Error message insists loading photo paper into photo tray.   So my pics not printed at all,

In general, this printer does not require that you have photo paper loaded into the printer unless that tray is to be used.  This means that, unless something odd is happening, the error (insistance to load paper into the photo tray) is perhaps a result of a mis-configuration somewhere.

Reminder:

Prequisites - software and firmware should be installed

• The Full Feature Software must be installed for the printer.
• The software and drivers website support page provides the software for the supported Operating Systems.
• If necessary, click Change , select your Operating System and then the version of your OS.
• Download, save, and install the software.
• After the software is installed, Restart the computer and log in.
• If there is a firmware update listed for your OS and version, download, save and install the firmware.
• After the firmware is installed, Restart the computer and log in.

Check the settings you are using for Media (kind of paper)

Check the settings you are using for Source (Tray 1 or Main Tray as opposed to leaving the setting as automatic)

Check the settings you are using for Paper size?

Download, Save, and install:

HP Photo Creations

After the software is installed:

Click Start (windows key) > all apps > scroll the list 

Open Category HP

Find the HP Photo Creations application

Right-Click on the application and PIN to Start
