HP ENVY 5540
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Trying to set up my printer.  It seems the setup cartridges are not available (either misplaced, thrown away by mistake, or were not in the box).  I ordered the correct ink cartridges to in the printer, but they are not accepted because it's waiting for the setup cartridges.  I tried searching the internet to buy setup cartridges, but cannot find them.  I have seen some YouTube videos about how to bypass the setup cartridge message, but not for this printer.

Could you please help me with instructions on how to bypass this error message, or how I can get some setup cartridges?  Thanks in advance for your help.

EDIT: I only have Instant Ink cartridges... so ideally I'd like to set up the printer without any cartridge as therefore I will need to enroll the printer again in instant ink

I understand that you want to bypass the setup cartridges, and I am glad to assist you.

I am sending you a private message with the steps to skip setup cartridges and complete the printer's initial setup. Please check the mailbox icon at the top-right corner of this screen.

I hope this helps resolve this issue completely.
