I'm suffering with poor print quality, my Canon MP230 ($30) let me change my contrast and hue settings, as well as how dark it printed. That let me get good quality, with proper colors and deep contrast.

I can't find where those settings are on HP, and the print color quality is quite unsatisfying. Less pixilation, but that's because the printer bleeds/smuges the ink muhc more, losing detail.

Also, I can't print A4 PDF or from other programs, the printer just won't print. I have to scale it down to 99%. When I try to print "multiple" (9 - 3x3) it will scale the images down much more than they should be. With my Canon printer I got exactly 63,5mm x 88,9mm when I did this, as my images had the right proportions for this... This HP printer prints them closer to 59mm x 82,6mm.

Welcome to HP forums, I see that you want assistance in changing the print settings.

  1. In the software application you are trying to print from, click File, and then click Print.

    The Print window opens.

  2. Open the Properties dialog box.

Depending on the software application, the button might be Properties, Options, Printer Setup, Printer, or Preferences.

  3. Depending on your print job, you might consider modifying the following settings:

  4. Print Quality: If you are dissatisfied with the quality of your printouts, increase the print quality. To print more quickly, decrease the print quality. These options typically include Best, Normal, and Draft modes.

  5. After selecting the print settings, click OK to apply the settings, and then click Print.

You can refer to this HP document for more assistance:- Click here

Let me know how it goes.

To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.

Cheers.
