Our wireless connect is not good so I want to simply connect my printer to my laptop using a USB connection - how do I do this as there is nothing in the short instruction book and also my printer seems intent on me wanting to join to our wireless network. Help please!

Hi,

 

HP Printers can be connected both USB and wireless at same time. If you have installation CD which came along with printer try installing using CD if not available software and drivers for the printer can be downloaded from link below 

 

http://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-envy-5540-all-in-one-printer-series/5447939/model...

 

Please select you OS accordingly..

Try installing the printer again and when selecting type of connection select USB and complete installation.

but how do you uninstall it  - I am not that IT literate so need a bit more help and instruction on this
