I am working on a networked HP laser printer that pauses the second I hit print on a Mac. Another poster on another thread found an answer to his problem, but didn't explain how to do it, so i'm hoping someone else can help. His answer was "The problem is the security certificate on the printer. You need to go to the printer's web page, and find the certificate. You'll probably find that it has expired. There is an option to create a new self-signed certificate. Do that, let it update, and the problem should go away."
Can anyone explain that in better detail? Thanks!

In the embedded web server (enter the IP address in a browser address bar), go to network>advanced>certificates. I do not have that exact model sitting in front of me, but that is generally the location on smaller HP machines. Refer to the user guide here https://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06434360.pdf
