@GG1669 Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that you would like to know how to perform the duplex scanning for HP  Officejet Pro 8022.

Yes, This model has an automatic duplex scanning feature.

For that, you have to install the complete software. Or you can use the HP application.

Note: automatic duplex can be done only through ADF.

Please click to download the full-featured software.

Hello,

I have followed your instructions but I still can't figure out how to use duplex scanning on my hp 8022. When I scan using the app I don't have the 2-sided scanning option. Can you help me please?  I'm using macOS10.14.

Thanks

@Godders888,

You'll have to manually turn the page and reload the scanner for two-sided scanning. Follow the steps below-

  1. Place the item you want to scan on the scanner glass or in the automatic document feeder (ADF) tray.

  2. Tap the Printer Scan tile.

    Printer Scan tile

  3. Tap the Settings icon  to select the input source, color or black and white, and resolution.

  4. Tap Scan.

  5. For multi-page scans, tap the Add Pages icon , and then repeat these steps with another item.

Refer to the document HP Printers - Install and Use the HP Smart App for help.

Keep me posted.

Thank you but the previous message in this thread (from @Praveen196) says the Officejet Pro 8022 supports automatic duplex scanning. Yet what you are describing is a manual approach.

Does the Officejet Pro 8022 support automatic duplex scanning or not? And if it does how do I go about it?

Thanking you in advance

@Godders888

Sorry about the inconvenience caused, the HP Officejet Pro 8022 All-in-One printer does not support automatic duplex scanning. Only a manual option can enable the two-sided copying/scanning as I explained in my previous post.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
