This is very good information.  However, where is the settings button located on the 6978 printer.  A lot of icons but not one ID

as settings.  I cannot enlarge after setting up the enlargement size in custom area.  After touching the DONE button then what is the next step.  The size always reverts back to 100%.  Waste too much paper plus ink attempting to enlarge the copy.  HELP!!

Unless the 6968 is remarkably different from my 6978, this solution is stunningly irrelevant. On the 6978, at least, the correct process is this:

Load document

Touch Copy

Touch Document

Scroll past 2-sided and touch "Touch to Preview or Edit"

Touch Settings (the gear icon)

Touch Resize

Touch Custom

Select the percentage size change you want and touch Done

Touch Return (the curved arrow on the left)

Touch Start Black or Start Color

P.S. Suggest the HP employee who submitted this as a solution update his/her notes.

Thank you so much. I would never have found this out myself. This is perfect.

I had to add a step - "copy document" after "copy"

finally found someone that could answer how to resize a document on the office jet 6978.  The manual that came with the machine is worthless for answering any of these questions.
