@Aalexis19, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding E8 Error Code!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

This usually means a paper jam or carriage jam inside the printer. Let’s walk through a fix together:

Try This:

Power off the printer – Feel the soft click as you press the power button, then unplug it for safety.

Open the ink access door – Listen for any soft whirr or clicks from the ink carriage. It should move freely. If it's stuck, gently nudge it to the center.

Check for paper bits – Use a flashlight to peek inside. Clear out any jammed paper or foreign objects (even tiny torn corners).

Close everything up and plug the printer back in.

Power it on and wait for the sounds to settle.

Still flashing E8?

You might want to reset the printer:

Turn it off, unplug from power and wait for 60 seconds, then power it back up.

Let me know what you find — happy to stick with you until that printer hums happily again! 😊

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!

The access door of the HP Smart Tank 210 printer is located at the front of the printer. To reach the printhead and ink access area, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Front Door:
    • Ensure the printer is turned off.
    • Open the front door of the printer.

  1. Wait for the Print Carriage:
    • Allow the print carriage to move to the center so you can access the printhead and ink cartridges safely.
