HP Office Jet Pro 8600
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I purchased a new HP Multi function printer to take the place of my older HP Officejet Pro 8600.

I wanted to uninstall all of the files connected to the old printer so that it would conflict with my

new HP Office Jet Pro 8720.

Now when I turn on my computer, I get a message:  C;\programfiles\HP\HP OfficeJet Pro 8600\Bin\HP StatusBLdll

Is there a file that was not suppose to be uninstalled? or Do I need to get rid of this and how do I do that?

Any help with this would be appreciated.

This is a great location to get assistance! I read your post and see that you are finding issues in uninstalling old printer and installing your HP Office Jet Pro 8600 Printer. I would like to help you resolve this issue.

Uninstall the old printer completely.

Uninstall your printer from Programs and Features.

  1. If your printer connects to the computer with a USB cable, disconnect the cable from the printer.

  2. Search Windows for programs and features, and then click Programs and Features in the list of results.

  3. In the list of installed programs, click your HP printer name, and then click Uninstall or Yes.

  4. If a User Account Control message displays, click Yes.

  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the software removal.

If the software uninstall process does not start or an error displays while uninstalling, download Fix problems that block programs from being installed or removed (in English) from the Microsoft website, and then try uninstalling again.

  6. After the software uninstall is complete, restart the computer.

Remove the printer from the devices list.

To complete the uninstall, remove the printer and any Windows print drivers from the Windows Devices and Printers list.

  1. Make sure the printer is turned on and in a ready state.

  2. If your printer connects to the computer with a USB cable, disconnect the cable from the printer.

  3. Search Windows for devices, then click Devices and Printers in the list of results.

  4. Right-click the icon for your printer , click Remove Device, then follow the on-screen instructions to complete the printer removal.

If multiple icons exist for your printer, remove them all.

Click here and refer the document to setup the new printer.

Let me know how it goes.

Cheers.
