I set up the printer to copy a 2-sided document using 2-sided copy. That worked. Now I want to get back to 1 sided copy using the print menu. The latest HP software was just installed. HELP!

@Iris06, Welcome to HP Support Community!
If you are referring to making a photocopy on the printer, follow the steps below:
From the Home screen, touch Copy. Flick to the desired number of copies.
- If the value for the 2–Sided option is 1:2, touch to select 1:1
- From the Settings screen, specify the paper size, paper type, quality, or other settings.
- Touch (Back) to return to the Copy screen.
Touch Black or Color to start the copy job. For detailed instructions, please go through the user guide of this printer and scroll down to page no. 40 which exactly shows the steps.
If you are referring to printing from the computer, follow the steps below to disable two-sided printing:
- Open the file you would like to print. From the File menu select Print. The Print window appears.NOTE: The Print window might be minimized. Click the Show Details button to see all available settings.
- UnCheck two-sided printing.
- Click the settings drop down, it will usually appear as the name of the program (e.g. TextEdit) Will appear as Copies & Pages within Microsoft Office applications.
- Select Layout from the drop-down menu.
- Set the Two-Sided option as Off.
- You may save the settings as a preset by clicking Presets > Save Current Settings as Preset.
By doing so and completing the print job these settings will remain default till another preset will be used in the future.

That did not work. Screen was locked into 2 sided, even after turning off printer and my Mac. Didn’t change whether printing from scan or computer. Finally, I just gave up and bought another printer.
Thanks anyway
