I place a 4x6 photo paper in the 'Photo Tray' on the top of the printer, hit "print", and the printer prints on a 8.5 x 11.0 page from the paper tray on the bottom of the printer.
How do I print from the 'Photo Tray' on the top of the printer? The help document has NO information regarding the 'Photo Tray' on top of the printer.
Thanks; cinnamoninn

Hi @cinnamoninn
You are right the user guide doesn't have much information on that photo tray.
See step 4 above and ensure you select the appropriate Tray Selection option in the printer properties.
Some other tips to help the printer recognise the paper in the photo tray are:
- Remove paper from every tray except the one you wish to use
- Put a stack of photo paper in the tray and not just one sheet
- Ensure the page guides are snug around the photo paper
Hope this helps

Thanks for your reply. There is one thing my software does not show. When you say to 'select the appropriate tray', I go that selection drop down box, and there is only one selection for me to make. It says 'Main Tray'. There is no other selection for me to make.
How do I deal with that?

Hi @cinnamoninn
If there is only the one tray selection option, select 4x6 paper size and put paper only in the tray you wish to use.
Hope this helps

My Officejet 4650 is not printing 4x6 glossy photos correctly. The image always comes out with runny ink and blurry pictures, like it used too much ink. I chose glossy paper in the settings on my PC and printer, and I chose the correct size. What am I missing?
