How can we configure a HP P1102W printer to print Japanese text / font?

When we have documents containing Japanese text, they print OK on HP Office Jet Pro 8620 but just get scrambled on P1102W.

Help / suggestions please.

Have you downloaded the correct true-type fonts for Japanese. Keep in mind that most inkjet type printers handle fonts a little differently because they are simply a line at a time where as the laser formats the entire page. You can also try using the option to print file as image, on the print dialog box click advanced the select "print as image"

thanks for the advice ... I've now learned that the problem is with Royal Mail.

Part of the document with Japanese characters is generated by Royal Mail label printing service and that system can't cope with that character set.

... so whatever we do to the printer ... it still won't generate the required font.

You couldn;t make this stuff up !
