I purchased a OfficeJet Pro 6978 about 6 months ago and I'm enjoying it immensely. Since I use Ubuntu/GSE I submit my jobs via the email ( {Private_key}@hpeprint.com ) method.
Sometimes in order to conserve ink I'd like to print in black and white only (grayscale). I see this is possible in the manual when using the standard Windows control panel, but is there something similar available to people who submit their jobs via the central {Private_key}@hpeprint.com service? I.e. can I just put grayscale in the subject? or some other designation?

Hi @GlassTower,
Welcome to the HP Forums!
Thank you for posting your query on this forum, it's a great place to find answers.
I reviewed your post and I understand that you want to know whether you can print in grayscale when you ePrint.
Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
I would like to inform you that HP ePrint default print settings cannot be changed from the printer control panel or HP Connected.
The following are the HP ePrint default print settings:
- Print quality: Normal
- Print color: Full color
- Paper size for emails: Letter or A4
- Paper size for image attachments: 101.6 x 152.4 mm (4 x 6 in)
- Number of copies: 1
- Paper orientation: Identical to the original document
- Duplex printing: Not supported
Hope that answers your question and you have a great day!
