I just finished installing the solution you gave.  How do I get it to print on my HP 8600?

I installed the HP9800 printer as you instructed and it appeared to work at first.  Then it loaded the paper and gave me the same old error messsage that I had been getting with the 8600 - mismatched paper size.  I am operating a PC with Windows7.   My printer is an Officejet 8600 Pro Plus.  The second time i tried to print nothing happened so I turned the printer off.   When I turned the printer back on the 2 pages I had tried to print came through, but since then I can get nothing to print using the HP 9800 fix.  What else can I try?

Custom envelope size printing has been a nigtmare. I have tried all of the so called hack solutions on the forums, to no avail.

 

 

Bottom line, HP printers are great if you want to put in standard paper or envolopes and print away.

If you however have a statioary set, wedding invitations or party invitation envelopes etc HP IS A BIG PIECE OF USELESS JUNK.

 

 

Whew, I feel better.

 

 

All printers should allow us to use custom paper or envelope sizes.

 

Writing wil be easier.

I'm shopping for another brand of printer ASAP

This solution worked great for me on a Windows 7 machine...(Using Driver Deskjet 9800 to set a custom paper size to print to Officejet 8600)

However, the HP Deskjet 9800 driver is not available for Windows 10...Do you have another driver that I can use that would work with Windows 10 that is compatible with the HP Officejet Pro 8600....

I love the 9800 driver trick but I find I cant print in color - and I see no place to fix that - please advise
