I have refilled the colour cartridge, but the irritating refill-light keeps blinking.  'test-page' and 'prime' never get printed.

 

I only need to ever to print in black. I set this in the printer-properties.

 

How to make the stupid blinking light stop, and make this printer realize it does not need a full colour cartridge to print black?

 

How to just print black?

To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:

Did you try with a different ink cartridge?

Remove the cartridge and check if the light still blinks.

Could you please help me with the exact model name or the product number of the printer to assist you better.

 

Hp printer is designed in such a way that the printer will not print without the cartridge or if the cartridge is empty.

 

Use HP genuine Ink cartridge and try to print.

yes. Only when both colour and black are full it will print. Not when only the black is full and printing is in black. 

 

Remove the cartridge and check if the light still blinks.

yes it does.

I took out both cartridges. Turn off and on. Inserted only the black. turn off and on again so it 'sees' the new cartridge. Keeps blinking. Blinking only stops when I insert both full cartridges.

 

Use HP genuine Ink cartridge and try to print.

The colourcartridge is genuine. When I take it out it won't print. :LaughingTears:
