HP Color LaserJet M255dw
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I had set a security password on the web server for my HP Color LaserJet M255dw printer.  Unfortunately, I forgot it and I don't know how to reset it.   I'm not able to do a factory reset because the panel requires that security password.

Can someone please provide steps on how to do this reset?

The reason we do not share these steps publicly is because this is a Public Forum and these steps are specific to printer models. So the same steps will not work for some different models, thus the solution provided on the HP Forum doesn't work for certain customers, depending on their printer model

Moreover  if a customer tries the NVRAM Reset without proper technical assistance and if it mess up his complete printer setup then it will actually cause more issues

If the information I've provided was helpful, give us some reinforcement by clicking the "Solution Accepted" on my Public Post and it will also help other community members with similar issue know we have the answer.

Because the solution worked for me, is it ok if this is shared on this forum or posted in a FAQ?  Because you sent me a private message, I have this impression that you do not want to share to the community what the solution is.
